Since February 2025, Samraksa Seang, the Commune Agricultural Officer (CAO) of Bakong Commune in Siem Reap Province, has quietly but steadily become a trusted partner to a diverse range of local farmers. With a background in agronomy from the Royal Uni-versity of Agriculture in Phnom Penh Raksa returned to the commune level not just with knowledge, but with commitment. His work today touches rice fields, chicken raising, mushroom farms – and, most importantly, people’s confidence in their own livelihoods.
