The border conflict and episodes of war between Cambodia and Thailand have revealed a deep sense of national unity and solidarity among the Cambodian people, regardless of their political, religious, or economic backgrounds.
This unity is rooted in:
– The Cambodian people’s unwavering love for peace, justice, and truth
– Their respect for international laws and conventions
– Their willingness and commitment to resolve conflicts through genuine dialogue, especially with the mediation of neutral third parties
– And their strong desire to build lasting peace and promote development in the border areas.
Geography has placed Cambodia and Thailand side by side—we cannot change that.
What we can choose is how we live with one another.
Let us choose peace over conflict, dialogue over aggression, and cooperation over division.
Cambodia and Thailand must live together as peaceful neighbors—supporting each other, respecting each other, and helping each other move forward in the spirit of mutual benefit and shared destiny.
