My name is Yang Saing Koma, and I was born in Chambal Village, Popel Commune, Tram Kak District, Takeo Province.
I graduated with a PhD in Agriculture from the University of Leipzig, Germany, in 1995, after studying and living there for almost 11 years (1984-1995).
My work experience comprises:
- Professor, Royal University of Agriculture (Coconut Farming), 1995-2003
- Work for NGOs from Japan (JVC) and France (GRET), 1995-1997
- Founder and Director/President of the Cambodian Center for Study and Development in Agriculture (CEDAC), 1997-2015
- Governor of Sathapana Microfinance Institution, 2010-2016
- Currently, Secretary of State, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. In charge of the 6th Priority Policy on the deployment of 1,600 Commune Agricultural Officers (CAOs) for agricultural extension.
Languages spoken: Khmer, English, German and French.
